While banks typically operate ATMs, privately owned ATMs have indeed been in existence for many years. ArTM is the first 501(c)(3) ATM provider in the world and works with community and corporate partners to transform the traditional revenue model associated with ATM surcharge fees.
Our unique non-profit status allows us to channel these traditional fees into tax-deductible donations for the benefit of artists. By strategically partnering with locations that ensure maximum fundraising potential, we can cover operating expenses while generating significant funds to support the arts. This approach aligns with our mission to use innovative financial channels to empower and uplift artists, making every ArTM transaction a valuable contribution to the creative community.
While we currently direct donations to a general fund for artists that a highly qualified advisory board selects, we are exploring ways to provide donors with more customization options in the future. Stay tuned for updates on how you can have a more personalized impact.
